We are incredibly excited to announce that Downton Abbey star Jim Carter and BAFTA TV Award winner Imelda Staunton are now official patrons of Breathe. In addition to playing the role of the Downton Abbey favourite Carson the butler, Jim is a seasoned performer of screen and stage with roles in classics such as Brassed Off and Shakespeare in Love and the recent success of Swimming with Men. For over 30 years Jim has also performed a stage magic act. Imelda is the performer behind the delightfully villainous character Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter films. For her stage work Imelda has won 4 Olivier awards. Recent work includes Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Follies.

Having long been supporters of our work and attending several of our end of camp shows, the pair will be acting as future ambassadors for our programmes and helping us as a small social enterprise to raise our profile further. We warmly welcome them to the Breathe family!

We are proud and delighted to be patrons of Breathe. Over the years we have been lucky enough to attend several magic camps and shows and we are constantly amazed at the skill, energy,  enthusiasm and professionalism of the Breathe team – and the spectacular and potentially life changing results that they achieve. This is a great charity which really works and we are strongly committed to supporting them in any way we can.
