Breathe Sing for Lung Health - Breathe

Breathe Sing for Lung Health

Our supportive and sociable singing groups for patients with respiratory conditions

Originally developed in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS respiratory team, Breathe Sing aims to improve lung health and help manage symptoms through physical warm-ups, vocal exercises and group singing.

Led by a trained Singing Leader, songs from around the world are specially selected to support breath control and ease symptoms of breathlessness. Warm up activities help participants with their posture, and challenge them physically as well as cognitively, but in a beneficial way.

Breathe Sing is a place of social connection with a safe and supportive community. Singing together has helped participants in countering stress and tension experienced with long-term respiratory and lung conditions.

Please note: Breathe Sing for Lung Health funded by Warwickshire County Council was delivered in Warwickshire between 2021 and 2023.  The programme is now on pause, if you have any queries on our delivery in the county or are interested in funding this programme to be delivered again please contact lorna@breatheahr.org
