A Magical Visit from Dame Imelda Staunton - Breathe

A Magical Visit from Dame Imelda Staunton

Thu 4 Dec

We are overjoyed to share a very special moment from this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge. Our Patron, Dame Imelda Staunton DBE, joined a Breathe Melodies for Mums session, taking part in the session with her characteristic wholeheartedness. She sang, laughed and connected with a gentleness and kindness that instantly transformed the space.

A National Spotlight on Breathe

We’re honoured that out of 1,500 incredible charities, the Big Give chose Breathe Melodies for Mums as one of only five to be featured in their national Christmas Challenge film.

The film includes special messages from Prue Leith, Gary Lineker, and our wonderful Patron Dame Imelda Staunton DBE, who speaks from the heart about why giving and doubling matters so deeply this Christmas.

Why This Moment Matters

Imelda’s visit and the Big Give’s platform highlight the transformative impact of creative health programmes, and why supporting them now is so vital.

During Challenge Week, every donation is doubled, helping us reach even more families, young people and NHS staff when they need us most through our evidence-based creative programmes.

Please consider backing Breathe Arts Health Research’s Big Give Campaign this week.
Every single donation, large or small, is doubled and genuinely appreciated by the whole Breathe team.

Your support allows us to continue reaching parents, young people and NHS staff with programmes that bring comfort, confidence, connection and joy when they need it most.

One week. Endless impact. Double the difference

We are deeply grateful to Imelda for her continuous support, generosity and genuine care. To the Big Give, for including our story and doubling our donations. And to every supporter, for helping us bring calm, confidence and connection to the people who need it most.
