Yesterday, we were excited to finally share the findings of our five-year research study showing the clinical and cost effectiveness of Breathe Melodies for Mums, our group singing programme for mothers experiencing postnatal depression.

The SHAPER (Scaling Health-Arts Programme: Implementation & Effectiveness Research) study saw almost 200 women (and their babies!) take part in our Breathe Melodies for Mums singing programme for women experiencing postnatal depression – which proved to not only provide immediate effective support for postnatal depression, but a long-lasting reduction in depressive symptoms measured up to six months after engagement.

We’re amazed that our Breathe Melodies for Mums programme and this ground-breaking research has gained such positive response, press and media coverage worldwide.
