Your information has been received.
We hope to have programmes running this Summer and will be in touch with information on next steps and how to join the sessions when details are confirmed.
In the meantime, if you feel you need extra support right now we strongly advise you to talk with your GP to discuss how you are feeling. These Healthcare professionals can also refer you to your local Talking Therapies if they feel it would be beneficial.
You can also self-refer to your local talking therapies services. As a new parent you should be prioritised so long as you tell them this information. Please remember that different areas of the UK will have different waiting times so we advise you to make contact as soon as you can. You can find out where your local service is located from this NHS link here:https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/mental-health-services/find-nhs-talking-therapies-for-anxiety-and-depression/
You can also get additional support and information from:
- NHS 111 – for medical advice & guidance
- The Samaritans (24hr, free & confidential emotional support) – www.samaritans.org TEL: 116123
- Mind – you can contact Mind’s Infoline 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday on 0300 123 3393. Text them on 86463, or email [email protected].
- The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) offer support to any man who is down or in crisis online, over the phone on 0800 58 58 58, or on webchat.
- The PND Daddy runs a Twitter chat for dads who suffer with PND and need support. Join in on Tuesdays 8-9pm using #PNDDaddies.
- PANDAS Dads have a private Facebook support group to help dads going through anxiety and/or those who are supporting their partner with perinatal mental illness.
In an emergency, call 999 or got to your local A&E.
We hope to see you at a session soon!
