Breathe Dance for Staff Wellbeing

Our dance class for Guy’s and Thomas' NHS staff to relieve stress and boost wellbeing

Breathe Dance for Staff Wellbeing is designed to increase physical and mental fitness, by releasing tension, stretching and strengthening the body.

Sessions are offered in blocks of 8 weekly classes, with each block exploring an exciting, inclusive and different dance style. Dance styles include Afrobeat, Streetdance, Salsa and Contemporary, led by Breathe’s professional and experienced dance artists.

The focus is on having fun and moving to feel good in a supportive environment, creating a sense of community amongst NHS colleagues.

Classes are aimed at all levels and no previous dance experience is required.

Frequently asked questions

No. All classes are drop-in so just come along when you can. Although the teacher may build on some routines through the weeks, each class will be inclusive for new starters as well. All movements are explained and demonstrated verbally and physically, with options to adapt or develop if needed.

We recommend seeking advice from your GP before you take part in any new physical activity, but all movements and exercises can be adapted to suit your needs.
