Trinity Laban Dance Collective
Contemporary dance
Trinity Laban Dance Collective is a group of ten international dance artists on the MA/MFA Dance Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Dance and Drama. In this lunchtime concert they present a short dance work titled Occasional Chaos in 5 Section, 3 Rounds and 4 Stations. This work was made in collaboration with dancers from Company Wayne McGregor, using an AI software to generate choreographic material. The result is surprisingly joyful and human as the dancers navigate playful interactions and unexpected movement choices.

Bollywood dance
Absolute Bollywood strives to make Bollywood and Indian dance more accessible in the UK. The internationally acclaimed dance group, based in London, has performed at events at Cannes Film Festival, Summer Surprises in Dubai, Indian Festival in Egypt, Paris, Germany & Mumbai in the last two years. The company offers exciting entertainment for every special occasion and high quality instruction for students of all skill and experience levels.

Thomas McBrien and Abigail Adams

Thomas McBrien is an exceptional jazz pianist and composer based in the vibrant South East London. With a remarkable two decades of experience, Thomas has dedicated over half of his life to perfecting his craft as a professional musician. Thomas’s extraordinary talent has taken him on tours across the UK, Europe, and America, captivating audiences with his remarkable solo performances and collaborations with diverse ensembles. When it comes to composition, Thomas specialises in creating captivating pieces primarily for the piano. Thomas will be accompanied by violinist Abigail Adams.

Sambossa
Brazilian music
London based Brazilian band, with samba and bossa nova rhythms. Sambossa are a unique UK based Brazilian music quartet that presents the sounds & rhythms of Brazil in a small band format. Compact but very powerful, with music ranging from sultry bossa nova & grooving afro-funk to blistering samba, they have the ability to delight both the listener and the dancer.

Tatcho Drom
Balkan Gypsy folk music
Tatcho Drom stage a vibrant show of beautiful melodies and dancing rhythms from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. are considered one of the UK’s leading exponents of Romany Gypsy music. Their name translates to ‘True Journey’ from Romanes, the language of Romany Gypsies.

Beth Angharad
Folk music
Beth Angharad matches honest and raw lyrics with poignant, lilting melodies to create a truly intimate connection between her and the listener. Her beautifully-penned songs captivate audiences, lulling them into a woozy, sweet space of luscious vocals and strings. With her compositions already heard on BBC Radio 1, 6Music and Jazz FM in other bands, Beth Angharad gives us a glimpse into her first solo endeavour, exploring themes rarely at the forefront of conversation.

Phosphoros Theatre Young Company
Physical Theatre
Phosphoros Theatre amplifies refugee voices and brings them to the main stage. Their work focuses on those aged 16-25, with a particular focus on current and former unaccompanied asylum seeking children. They collaborate with artists, audiences and participants with lived experience of forced migration, inviting the public to listen, learn, and advocate for change. As well as nationally touring productions they run community theatre projects including a weekly youth theatre and Phosphoros Sisters for young women.

Plastikes Karekles
Greek music
An eclectic fusion of international and Greek musicians with roots from traditional Greek folk to classical and jazz. The group is known for their own arrangements of music by Theodorakis, Hadjidakis and Xarhakos featuring a fusion of classical string instruments with Greek traditional ones. The musicians of Plastikes Karekles are also the founding members of the charity “Rebetiko Carnival”, a one month festival in June with Rebetiko music at its heart. They are dedicated to exposing this treasured music to as many people as possible.
